My 400 Tourer

Post by LLOYD »

ITs a 1996 1800 Turbo Weisel , feature a interstellar 205000 miles on the clock. Not bad old bus considering it used to be a taxi .
needs a wee bit of tlc and a dose of polish but other than that its ok .

Nice car you got there mate, new style interior aswell which is good. Price seems decent aswell, i know the mileage is high but if its been looked after then it shouldnt be a problem especially cause its a diesel.

What do they go like, I mean if you put that against a petrol what sort of engine size are we lookin at?

yeah i believe it is a 418 not a 218 as i was told , as for performance well , i have a 5 year old girl who could out run this.

in fact if you cought the last episode of top gear were clarkson affectionatly refered to the engine in his fiat panda as a field mouse called gerald , well his geriatric grandad lives in my rover, but i dont care as it stats first time every time, as for the new interior when did they change , i had a 218sld on a m plate with the old dash.

Check the boost pipes for splits and then check the boost pressure, as they tend to loose boost pressure with age. Simply tweaking the actuator up a bit can help a LOT.
