Well Hello!

Post by Droitwich Lloyd »

We can't have the lounge bereft of action, so I'll start the ball rolling!

This can be our random thread where we can discuss whatever we like!

OK fair enough. I'm going to start with a "boring old fart" whinge about FIREWORKS! Having a 12 month old baby who isn't all that familiar with sleeping through the night, you tend to notice every little noise about and around (even cats walking over the road are told to shhhh!), so, imagine my delight when the fireworks started up AGAIN last night at 8pm, and went on and on and on and were still going on and on and on at 12.20am.

So - baby awake in fits and starts for most of the night, and then up as usual at 5.30, but as miserable as sin.

Why does it always happen on my 'shift'?

Thing is, bonfire night these days, seems to go on for weeks!
I've got pets so I buy those garden fireworks that don't bang!

Kind of makes a mockery of the bonfire 'night' tag eh?

We seem to have got off lightly this year but fireworks usually are going off for most of October and November round here. The garden is full of rocket debris at the moment :(
