Hi Lindsey
I am trying to find a new home for our Rover 216 GSi cut away car that was part of Rover's motorshow stand in 1992.
I don't really want to see the car scrapped but, having contacted beaulieu, gaydon & coventry museums, nobody seems interested in saving it.
Therefore, I'm turning to you guys as a last resort hoping that you may be able to point me in the direction of somebody who wants to save it.
The car would need collecting on a trailer/transporter.

This is ideal for our NEC Classic Car Show Exhibit. Anyone able to dry store such a car? We have a dolly so could potentially help with collection (assuming it is not being taken down to Lands End or John O Groats).

There are lots of pics in the thread, can you not see them?

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

The car is a museum piece, sadly the museums don't seem to want it. You can't drive it as it has holes in it and not suitable for spare parts.
As far as I aware it is donated to the club to ensure its survival, the problem is where do we store it?

Ah, so this is still alive. It was part of the sale-off held at Gaydon some years ago. It was part of the display there for some years where I have seen it a coupld of times. It is an interesting spec: A 214 with all the options incl. A/C if I remember right.
I know about the implications of storing such a thing, but it would make a good addition to future clubstands...
Regards,
Alexander
