I have a M reg 1995 214 cabriolet which has never had a keyfob to set/turn off the immobiliser.
This has never bothered me but after getting the immobiliser cutting in, due i think to a flat battery and taking ages to dis-engage it with the emergency code via the door key I have decided that maybe its time to get one
I understand that this will need programming etc but am confussed as to what keyfob i require.
I have seen 3TXA and 3TXB advertised, both appaerntly the two button type required, and have advised that either may do, but surely this cant be right.
Can anyone advise which of the two is correct for my car.
Keyfob
Re: Keyfob
Either will do. Yours been an early car could use the 3TXA. The later cars from 98 with the friendly immobliser disarm need the TXB's.
Just make sure though that who ever codes your car has got the correct equipment and also the 3 pin lead. Yours will use the earliery Mems 1.6 which should have a white and a green 3 pin plug under he bonnet near the immobliser unit.
