i have started noticing that my key fob for my coupe works less and less so i replaced the battery and it now dont work on the fob so my car is stuck as i can not disable the immobliser

is there any way of disableing it or does anyone know of somewhere i can send the fob for fixing :S :S

sent mine to remote key in birmingham they are great had the fob back in two days :D

before you assume the fob is busted - you have tried the 5-times unlock routine havnt you? (or is it 5 times lock, cant remember now) - I think its so the coding and synchronising can sort its self out.

If that doesnt work, you can use the key to disable the immobiliser but you need the emergency key access code, a 4 digit code. it is available for a fee online i beleive.

I almost needed this when I thought my fob had failed but it turned out it was caused by interference from a transmitting station I happened to park next to. its been fine ever since.

when your trying the re-sync process, sit in the car holding the fob near the dash area just in case interference is an issue where you are located.
