Finally managed to convince my 218 VVC cabrio working life is better than being a parts car

here she is with over 3 years dirt and grime on her (today)


considering i've only done 7 miles since owning this car over 3 years.



Now has original air box fitted and sounding great.

Still a few age related things to sort:
Coolant sensor
Gear linkage
Throttle cable
Starter motor
Wipers

All of which are available off my coupe.

With new almost everything, i'm looking forward to the mot guys face when i pull up.

Anyone know of any other VVC cabrio's?

love it, have you upgraded the brakes . how hard is it to swop over to a vvc

not really upgraded the brakes yet as over a 216k its ony like 15bhp difference but i have a vvc coupe parts car which ill take the rear control arms off for a disc conversion (after mot).

As for the conversion it is quite easy if you have a vvc coupe parts car, if not its a bar stool.

this is a rebuilt vvc engine from an mgf with a coupe vvc gearbox (rebuilt), brand new drive shafts, exhausts and other bits.

As far as i am aware its 1 of 3 but the other two are RIP.

this car was a 65k rust free example with new mo-hair roof soon to be refurbed bk 299 silver alloys and with a bit of luck an mot soon.......watch this space.

Getting there

looks like nice, rust free arches aswell. must have had a pampered life.

What are you doing with the old interior you have taken out?.
If you are selling it and the price is right I may be interested in buying it from you.
