My cabby is now a collector!

Post by Dorchester »

Here we are: my cabby is 30 year old and can now be considered as a collector car in France.
Which consequences?

- in case of damage it cannot be scrapped and repair is now mandatory provided I require it
- my MOT will be done once in 5 years now
- I can drive it within the ULEZ areas without any fine.

Is there any data on how many cars (and Rovers) meet this criteria?

Thank you John. :D
It looks that there may be around 300,000 cars out of the total of 39 millions in 2024 recognized by the FFVE in France, and that covers all kind of cars since the beginning of the last century, hence less than 1%. :)
I can't tell how many Rovers and especially 200/400 meet the criteria. Unlike in the UK, in France no detail can be publicly accessed about those matters, even I can tell how many Rovers 200/400 of any kind were then sold in France.

Yes more friendly here... so far. I think in the UK it's 40 years?
