Hi,
Other than the ECU blinking to read codes is there a plug on these cars where codes can be read from, and if so where is the plug and what does it look like?

Nope, that's it I'm afraid...
The Workshop manual, might give you other component tests you can perform to root-cause a problem.

Thanks John - I have read what appear to be the relevant manuals on the club website and while I can see the auto lockup is triggered by the ECU I cannot find anything that gives the logic flow of what inputs result in the auto lockup being disabled.
Any clues anyone??
