Hello,

I've been a open-car addict since 1998 and since then have owned an Escort Cabrio, two Mini Mokes, two Mazda MX-5s and a Smart Roadster.

The impending arrival of a baby in the family has meant that 2 seats have had to give way to 4 and so a couple of months ago I bought this Rover 216 Cabriolet.













As you can tell (especially from the engine bay!) it's been very well looked after and has had quite a few cosmetic mods made. It's a shame really that the Rover brand has the stigma it has as this is a cracking car but I spend a lot of time sticking up for it just because of the badge!

I'm not planning on doing too much more to it but I am considering an engine brace bar. I've been spoiled with the handling of my Mazdas and Smart so being back in a front-drive roofless hatch has been quite a shock to the system! Not sure whether it would be £70-80 well spent.

Anyway thought I'd show my Rover off, and I look forward to frequenting the site over the coming months.

They are a bit of a worry. My last three cars have had stiff suspension so I don't mind that so much - it's just trying not to kerb them all the time that annoys me.

hi pal,very nice. alloys look same as mine,if so be carefull as the laquer on the polished rim and spokes tend to come off. fellow cab owner. l8as

Cab looks very well kept. Not too sure on the wheels or the bumper mould things though.

A strut brace will help loads. If you manage to find some, rear strut braces make a big difference aswell. I think some Honda ones will fit, but not sure on what year you will need to fit.
