Rear speakers in Cabriolet
Rear speakers in Cabriolet
Hi all...odd one this...the rear speakers in my 1997 Cabriolet sounded very dull and muted with Rover head unit still in car...I changed the unit over with my known to be working JVC head unit and the results were the same...next job was to re use my speaker box from my previous car (2x8" and 2x tweeters) which had worked perfectly well with the JVC unit...guess what? Exactly the same problem, all rear output sounds dull and muted whereas front speakers are fine. Anyone else had this problem or know a possible cause? Many thanks.
Re: Rear speakers in Cabriolet

Re: Rear speakers in Cabriolet
Check the poloarity on the rear speakers. Maybe you have them the wrong way round, so as one speaker pushes the other pulls.

Re: Rear speakers in Cabriolet
find the speaker wires for the back on the block connector cut them and put new wires to the speakers try that had same trouble with my bubble
Re: Rear speakers in Cabriolet
I have tried the polarity already and swapped wires around...if it was more accessible I would try running the box from the front speaker wiring but would prefer it to work as it is...i'll try replacing the rear speaker wires and see what happens...thanks guys.
