Im gutted, i woke up this morning to find the car i clayed, polished and serviced over the weekend had been keyed by some idiots overnight.
I have a foot long scratch on the bonnet, and all up the drivers side.
I cant afford to have it repaired properly at the moment so will have to try to do it myself. If i can find a BRG bonnet and wing i might replace them, seems easier.
Gutted for you mate, my mate bought a brand new Rover 25 two years ago and a couple of months later he had it key'd all over. They only do it cause you have something nice that you treasure and they get jealous about the fact they dont have/can afford that.
Hope the repair turns out good and if you find out who did it and sort em' out :(
Im currently attempting to fix it myself. Ive rubbed down the scratches and filled them with paint. Will repeat a few times then put on a few coats of top coat. Will then buff with Scratch-X like mad to bring back the shine. It looks promising, but will take a while. Will provide pics if possible.
If it looks naff i will try to find replacement panels (in BRG). I might have a bonnet and wing sorted, both offside doors were damaged as well. My old cars rear door is not to bad so i could use that if its survived a year in a scrappy ok.. Im lucky that no permanent panels were done.
there are some companies that will come to you and spray your car, touch up scratches etc.the old boy scrapped his focus bumper.one came out & did the job very well.was about a £100.
