Why front fogs so rare?

Post by 2rovers »

Hey guys and gals,
I'm thinking my front bumper looks rather bad without some fogs in there, but am I really going to have to pay over 50 quid a piece?, I mean come on, over a ton just for a set of fogs, and ebay's not much help either on the subject.

I'm looking to tint my lights and indicators so having a matched set of fogs would look the monkeys nads , anyone know of where I won't be ripped into paying these prices and I can get a bargain?

Cheers folks

Probably because they were usually an option or accessory fit on most cars.

I can't think of many where they were standard on - RSP 220GTi and....?

Or perhaps it's because these cars were on sale before it became fashionable to drive around with them on when it isn't even foggy :slapme

if it helps i think most rover fogs of that age are the same, just the surrounds that are different. i may be wrong, just what i was told.

just had a quick nosey on rimmers and found that all r8 fogs are the same and so are the 600 fogs. if your bumper has the surrounds with the square mesh, fogs should fit on to these obviously with the mesh removed.

Also be aware that tinting lights is now an mot failure reason (it wasn't before jan)

rimmers did full sets a while ago for sommat like 40 quid. I guess the clearance stock is gone.
