Rover 214 Si.. thinking of getting one what you think??
hi been thinking of getting a Rover 214 Si for a while now so I can take the cab of the road during winter months, if anything needs doing etc and vice versa, gonna have a look at a couple of N Reg ones, one has t+t but high mileage but generally looked after ( no better when I get up close), as far as im aware the belt etc been doing not sure about the gasket as yet decent price only 300, but think I could get it for £200, got part history, and all that, couple of small rust bits nothing major, think the drivers side electric glass there a prob there, but been looking around and could get another from a scrappy, think he said it was the slide bar not the motor, so what you think in night fire red too

For £200+ how can you go wrong ?
It's got tax and if the MOT were repeated, if there's only a few months left on it, then you know what you've got.
And of course check for signs of HGF....
Lecky windows aren't too difficult to swap either.
Two R8s is about the right number

Cheers John, yeah its got M.O.T till November tax runs out end of the month but was hoping to do any bits over the summer months while me cabbie is on the road shell be taxed till October, well that's the plan, will def keep you posted, and as a bonus would you believe a bought of ebay a complete cabbie hood as a spare for£80, and with it a complete leather interior, for £23, bit crubbie bit still a bargain if I decide to go the leather route for the up coming shows

One thing is for sure: R8s will never get any cheaper, and the best ones are fast disappearing
