Fingers crossed

Re: My new cabriolet - 216 SE
Went pretty well:
Failed on door handle, brake light bulb (must be intermittent since it worked last night!) and rear brakes.
Will have her back next week all ready for taxing and in time for my birthday on Wednesday!

Talking to myself I know - but all legal now - mot, tax and insured.
So much smoother than my old one.

Well touch wood she seems good so far. A few little more niggles uncovered and I need to find the time to deep clean the interior and get started on some paintwork correction - lots of little scratches to polish out!
Re: My new cabriolet - 216 SE
Not been able to do much on the cabby other than a bit of tidying here and there, i did do the first little mod today, couldn't stand the orange side repeaters anymore.

Paintwork looks so much better in photos that in person.

So far touch wood i've done 500 uneventful miles, although i had no service history with the car i found a couple of signs of previous good care - oil is still clean as a whistle even 500 miles after the oil change, and the repeater bulb holders were greased up to the eyeballs to stop any dry joints.

Picked up these as a bit of an eBay bargain - make a decent spare set when I get the originals refurbed. Unwrapped them today and barring a couple of scuffs on two wheels they are in great nick and with good tyres (one brand new Pirelli) - wondering what they'll look like on the car.
