Yes, we (I) applied in good time, but I believe they won't be letting anybody know if they have a stand until May/June.

Will update this thread as soon as I know something :wink3

2 other clubs I know of have had basic confirmation of a stand today, no details about location or size though. June is normally when clubs hear though. Maybe things are being done a little different this year?

OK, Carl, I will keep it in mind. I have an idea for a theme based around the 25th birthday and yours may actually fit in quite well.

Let me know if you want an early one. I have steels wheels and trims available if the alloys are too much to bear!

We're in !

Dear Paul

LANCASTER INSURANCE CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW - 14, 15 & 16 November 2014 at the NEC

We are pleased to confirm that your club’s application for space at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show has been successful. Please find below details of the stand we are able to offer to your club along with other information and several items that need to be actioned summarised here, read on for full details:

1. If you are happy to proceed with the below stand offer, or have comments in relation to this, please let me know by replying to this email by Friday 25th July.

2. Please ensure the attached Show Ticket Offer Advertisement is published in your club magazines or newsletters between now and November. Send us hard or digital proof copies as detailed below. Let me know if you need alternative formats or sizes of the advert. Don’t forget to brief stand staff to collect in club ticket stubs at the event to benefit from your commission!

3. Email the number of promotional fliers you can distribute at events over the summer and the address we should send them to asap.

4. Let me have your club logo in the below size & format and web address you would like this to link to, for the new Club feature page on the Show’s website.

5. Get your thinking caps on for the Show Theme ‘The Big Screen’. As soon as you are able, let Andrea Seed know what you are planning at the event so your club’s news can be a part of our pre-show media campaign.

6. Look out for an email from gill.geens@clarionevents.com in mid-August which will detail how to access the online exhibitor information manual. You might want to add her email to your accepted list to ensure you don’t miss this important communication.

STAND OFFER

After a really great event last year we have again been inundated with club applications. We have done our best to accommodate requests made on application forms, complicating further the already complex stand allocation ‘jigsaw puzzle’! We are happy to now be able to confirm nearly 240 car clubs have been offered stands along with improved feature areas and catering space for visitors. Please appreciate however that there is just not sufficient room at the NEC to provide clubs with all the space they would necessarily like for their displays and trust that the following position will be acceptable:

Hall 17
Stand number 17-660
Width:7m
Depth:9m
Area:63sqm
Pillar/ irregular stand shape? no

If you would like to accept this stand offer, please let me know by responding to this email by Friday 25th July. I will then draw up your stand contract and insurance declaration for you to sign and return to me. If you have requests in relation to your club stand, please also let me know these by email by Friday 25th July.
Email sent to Paul, Tim and myself.

Paul - have you confirmed ?

What arrangement of cars will that size take? - 3 or 4 cars?

Do we go with their theme? Ideas?
I like Twin Cams, Single Cams, Turbos and 5-cam VVCs :cool

The stands a similar size to the one we have at the Bristol Classic, you can get 3 cars on and still leave a bit of room for table etc.

Confirmation sent today.

Benny and Carl: seriously considering using your cars, will PM you soonish.
The sectioned (cutaway) car may also be available to us, but I would also like to find a 'mint' early 214/216.

One other thought I have had is to try to find a decent Concerto to display, so that we can show the two end results of that successful Honda-Rover collaboration :wink3

We are next to the 75/ZT club, opposite the Coupe and P6 clubs.
