Hi. If anyones got a rear shock absorber lying around could you measure the total length and the pinion length. it would be a great help.

I have a pair of new ones in a box - what length do you want closed or fully open and is pinion measurement of the width of the bush at the base. Rover 216 GSi. Cannot measure it till tomorrow pm at earliest as its not at this address.

One of the new ones in front of me measures as follows
End of the top thread to the centre of the pin in the yoke at the bottom is 415 mm
Top of lower filled section of shock to the centre of the pin in the yoke 360mm
Top of spring dish to the centre of the yoke pin 197mm 190mm to the base of the spring seat
Yoke at base measures 41mm between the insides of the yoke and has about 45mm clearance to the top centre of the U shape but this is faceted around so not square
