Lots of conflicting information on these cars. Glad you said that it makes a difference as I was going to fit them anyway.

don't buy the cosmetic ones they don't work (ie etech ones) too much flex in the thread lines.

Rear one should have no threads, mine is particularly large circumference compared to standard ones (don't know why).

The problem is those braces won't help the cabriolets main issue. Lack of a roof! Well ok torsional stiffness if you want a more correct answer.

I have welded in box section in the floor from front to back . Makes a would of difference.
