Shows/Events for 2008

Post by Smithy »

Hi peeps,

What would people like to see on the club calendar for next year?

I had a few ideas given to me at the AGM, but for those who didn't go the AGM what would you like to do?

I was thinking of BL/BMC day in Peterborough again as it has a good autojumble, and camping is fun the night before.

As for the rest maybe one north and one southern show? Would you prefer to go to older classic shows or perhaps mix it with something more modern?

Perhaps somone would like some track days, or similiar? Road trip to france?

I can't organise everything by myself so perhaps there will be some volunteer organisers? (Hint: there is a events position vacant on the committee for someone who is very enthusiastic and skilled at organising ;) )

Also remember not everything has to be club organised perhaps some mini-meets run by members would be good for those of us who can't travel as far.

Anyway give us your ideas.

With the MetroClub, we are also thinking of doing small events like go karting, pub lunch meets.

It's always nice to sit down with a pint and talk about our cars :cool What about MG Saloon day?

Could probably do another Gaydon meet for those in the Midlands area...... And what about that annual Pride of BL day that people do?

Summer Road Run

Post by 214GSI »

Lets have a summer road run. :)

Meet up somewhere: and drive around a scenic route passing places of interest, stopping somewhere mid-way for a meal?

Scottish All Rover Rally

Post by g259fsg »

This event might be interesting for members in Scotland and North of England. Don't know if the Club was at last year's rally, but we could have a stand there this year - 24/25 May at Thirlstane in the Borders.
