220 GSI Turbo

Post by setve1 »

I am new to Rover ownership and have recently picked up a 220 GSI Turbo 2 owners 41k from new with full service history. A friend and I went on a mission to find as much horse power for as little money as possible and this is what I ended up with. The car is an absoulute rocket ship. It embarasses many modern perfomance cars. And all for just over one thousand pounds. The car is missing its rear spoiler, wiper motor and sill mouldings, but other than that it is in remarkable condition and drives very well. I am in two minds as to what to do with the car, whether to strip out and track day it or to have the odds and ends done and retore back to its former glory. Either way I know that I'm gonna have a lot lot of fun owning this car. Best "Q" Car I've ever had. If any body knows the where abouts of any of the above items I would appreicate it??

Hiya,

Welcome to the club forums, you don't see many about let alone ones which are low mileage.

I hope you enjoy it, I have a GTi turbo and it is great fun.

All cars are welcome to the shows in whatever state. Come along for a natter and a poke about under the bonnets, as that is what usually happens. Oh and if it is a show with camping, some drinking and more nattering the night before too!.
