We're in! :clapping

A 9m x 4.5m stand in Hall 7 has been allocated to us, so it is time to get planning.

Watch this thread for more details :wink3

Good that we're starting to see the support we'll need over the weekend. :clapping

The basic idea is that we'll be resurrecting an early, high-spec but currently forlorn R8 216 GSi that Simon Boosey found and has secreted away 'till March. The challenge will be to get it back to looking its best and sorting out some (relatively minor) mechanical jobs on it.

We can probably only fit 2 cars on the stand so we have to decide what to do in the other space - either an 'after', shiny car or another one of our cars needing a bit of TLC.

Get your proposals in early!

(We can't weld, spray, leak or pollute and it's a good idea if we don't disable a car in the process :wink3 )
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos

Are we still considering having my knackered K16 engine (from the Tourer) on the stand for a strip down? If so, I need to prioritise swapping the engine out.

Cheers,

Great news that we have a stand, was a little worried when Simon had bought the car, think the use f the 2nd car space for the engine makes sense to me, body shop one side, engine shop the other.
Happy to help on either of the days, if needed
