Can anyone confirm that the honda engines are non interference engines?
So that if the cambelt goes it doesnt end up damaging the whole engine
Dont know how true this is but have seen a few posts around on other sites that are mentioning this

I am pretty sure they are an interference type engine and anyway I would recommend that you get the timing belt changed rather than wait to find out.
The only Rover 200 that I know that was fitted with a non-interference engine is the mark 1 Rover 216 that had the Austin Rover S-Series engine rather than the Honda unit (213 had a 12v Honda).
The need for high performance units with less emissions has pretty much eliminated the use of non-interference engines.
