:clapping

We know that it's worth it in the end. Give an R8 a bit of TLC and it pays off :D
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos

Well the rover is home and looking swell, quite a bit of reassembaly to do asI took all the centre console out due to fuel pump problems.Nowrunning fine and a years ticket with no advisories.
Great paint repairs where the lacquer had been peeling and also new metal in the drivers side arch and on the passenger side between the doors , so all structurally sound, had new discs , front exhaust , one caliper , cam belt, water pump , new tyres and so now in full fettle.
I think I need one wheel centre cap as one has lost its clips if anyone has one lying about, Hope to get on and get it finished and it will go back on the road and be used.
Hope to get it to meet and a few shows.

Looking good , now the reassembly begins as have everything to return it to how it should be , including replacement mudflaps, new wheel centres etc.
Just need a battery bracket and bolt which seems to have disappeared .
Will go on the road from the beginning of march when hopefully all the jobs are done.

Absolutely no one, thats why its so fun when you finally find that part you've been waiting on for 2.5 years.
Mine was a middle water pipe (new) for an m-series.... :tumbleweed

Update, the search continues for an upper coolant pipe now :mope

interesting fact about 1990 early cars only 80 survivors by the dvla 39 on the road and 41 sorn , getting very scarce. like the pulsar silver one that the dealer has in pewsey wilts , would have been cheaper to buy that out of auto trader at £450 , in view what i have spent on mine, but we had ours nearly 20 years so part of the family and she has had a full overhaul.

Yes, the 1990s 200s are getting very rare, I have 1990 GTI H Reg, mine just about to go from SORN back to Licensed. MOT booked for 18th March.

Currently, DVLA shows only 5 1990 216GTi's are on the Road, and 11 on SORN, including mine.
See: http://rover-216-gti-web-site.myfreesites.net/

Who owns the 5 GTi's on the road, and what condition are they in?
Anyone know them and are they in the Club?
