Presentation of a French rescuer !

Post by French MGRowner »

:) Hi guys !

I've found a card of your club on my car at the Pride of Longbridge a mounth ago. My name is Alex, 21 years old, I'm living in Paris, France. Saving some french MG Rover since my drinving licence 3 years ago :D ! My father was working in a MG Rover garage in Paris, and my family has always had Rover cars.

Since 3 years, I've saved an MG ZR 1.8 120 Xpower grey. It was abandonned in a scrapyard since 2 years after the engine explosion on the motorway. A nice project for a car I've owned 2 years.

An horrible picture when I bought it :

And after !

After that, I've bought an MGF from 98, 1.8 120 too, abandonned since 1 year, always mine today :

And today :

My daily is a Rover 200 Vi. One of my favorite car I think. Cheap, fast, and a perfect sleeper ! Bought it after 1 year stopped on a parking :

Now, with 265 000 km on clock ( 164 000 miles ). Just fitted a black leather interior.

And one of my biggest project, A Rover 216 coupe from 93, who had kissed a floor lamp... A lot of work for a lot of disappointment... For me, the D16 engine is very bland... I'm gonna sell it soon.

And now, with a leather cream interior, with turbo alloys rims.

And recently, I've found my dream, A 620 Ti (yep I've specials dreams :laughing2 ). Abandonned in a parking since 2 years due to a fuel pump failure. I've a lot of projects for this one !

Thanks for all, Pol was a great meet for a first trip with a Rover abroad.

Famili picture in my street. Yep, My neighborhood hates me.

And finally my coupe at the POL, great meet !

Thanks for read and accept me, with my poor level in english :laughing2

Bye, Alex.

It was probable me that put the card on your car. :)

You joining use and telling your story makes the hours off walking round with the cards worth while.

You can certainly bring cars back to life! :clapping :clapping :clapping

Great to read your stories and see your photos.

Interesting that you think the D16 engine is 'bland' I like the kick above 5500rpm and it's even more fun as you've got a DOHC - the UK we had only the SOHC below the 2.0.

Pls keep telling us your interesting stories :D
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos

Thanks all !

I prefer the rover K series engine. It's more linear and nervous. But the sound of the honda engine is very nice ! I hope the T series engine will be up and that the 620 ti will be more efficient than my 200 Vi :D
