I would like a Lip Spoiler for my Cabby

Post by ROVER Cabby »

I am on the hunt for a lip spoiler for my Cabby as Dist has put his foot down on me fitting a Coupe Spoiler
to it because he is a cranky pants *laughs*, he was playing with a lip spoiler at the weekend and it got me thinking
what my options are.

Although the 3dr, Saloon, Coupe and Cabby boot lids are all different they look like the share the same lines,
lengths and similar dimensions so I was wondering if a factory lip spoiler is available off an R8 as I don't really
want to go aftermarket/universal, plus I would like to colour code it.

Follows the hatch line very closely. But Zoidberg has one, and he's a 414SLi. Can't think the boot on a 400 series has the same edge line as a 200 series.

Needs 5 holes drilled along the edge in the right place.

I'd say try a practise boot first (a rotten one, obviously, if such a thing exists).

Or you could find a very poor lip spoiler that's falling to bits, cut off all the studs and offer it up to see if it would follow the edge line on the cabby. Or a coupe of course.

Another option for a lip spoiler would be the one they fitted to the early DOHC Coupe they only sold on the continent. This would be a very rare find though.
