Happily that has been a good test of whether or not I'd tensioned the belt okay and I can report that I have and it's quiet. Current niggle is sluggish front windows, they were like this when I got the car and a deep clean of the windows and channels sorted them but this time it hasn't. They're not sluggish every day either, just sometimes, I suspect either dirty contacts in the switches or something is wearing out. It's otherwise fine, nothing to report, keeps doing its thing without fuss. That weird misfiring issue hasn't reappeared either so I've no idea on that one.
