TF units could work as well.
Projectors, has an indicator, (though that could be used for sidelight?), prob cheaper than BMW.
Mate has a pair of them, gonna take a closer look at those.

Re: r8 headlight conversion
The TF unit would require some serious choppage.
Re: r8 headlight conversion
Morettes is the word you're after. You can make your own, but it's not easy. The structural side of it is, as these things go, straight forward enough since you can buy good modern generic headlights from any number of kit car outlets that are fit for purpose. The difficult bit is making the nice cover for the front so it doesn't look homemade. That is, if you're going for something like this Citroen.

Actually not as bad as you might think. Looked into them for a mates Metro that's having almost everything else from a TF.
Width of the R6 lights means the indicator would need to be built in. Would fit a Mk4 R100 though.
Sure I'll get round to having a play over the summer.
Morette are a brand, not a style.

Re: r8 headlight conversion
Morettes is still the word your after, brand or otherwise, since that's what they're known as even when they're not Morettes. It's good shorthand, like how people say hoover when they mean vacuum cleaner.
