Well, my parking 'fine' arrived in the post this morning, despite me having pre-booked and being checked in on the gate when I arrived!

Looks like I will be finding out how good the official appeals service is.

Paul, there’s a post on FB about it from Sara Nye saying these will be cancelled as they have been issued by mistake, and not to pay the fine.

Maybe we should all get some 'Rover' show plates made for future years and fix them on before we get into the range of the ANPR: should send their system into meltdown!

UPDATE: after some confusion (people not notifying me they’d received fines) today Park at Ease gave me those Reg plates and I’ve confirmed those in attendance - so all sorted

And I’m not going to lie, I’ve given 13 years of my life to this show..I’m not a car enthusiast and I’m going to get frank I don’t give a monkeys about cars!! It really saddens me to read ungrateful remarks and time and time again we’ve asked for new committee members to join us to help improve it and no one has - just criticism! Feel free to take over any position within the committee

Sara Nye The whole cheque problem cheeses me off. When I open the envelope of an entrant I have everything I need in front of me, I have the form and envelope and can see they’ve paid, if it was done any other way, I’d have to check they’ve paid and I don’t have access to the bank account anyway, then I’d have to marry the payment up to the person, print it off (I often have to refer to the forms on the day if someone’s forgotten their pass) - so lots of extra work for me (which costs me to do as I have to take days of my job to do it) and banks do supply cheque books free of charge, so I don’t actually get what the problem/moan is about...and this isn’t to Graeme just because I’m replying here, this is how I feel...there’s possibly a super easy solution but I don’t know it and instead if folk moaning they could help #justsaying

Every year, as a non car enthusiast that has to apparently take constructive criticism for something I have no interest in, it makes me question if I want to take it all again next year

Luckily, I have not had a "parking charge" but annoyingly my brother did who followed me in and filled in the same form at the gate. He got a third letter yesterday demanding the money of else .......... he has been in contact but without response up until last night.

Think the days are numbered for this show this kind of thing would definitely put people off, which is a shame.
