New member for Spain

Post by ecampo »

Good night. My name is Eloy and I am from Spain. Thank you very much for allowing me to become a member of this Club.
Recently I acquired a Rover 414 GSI of the year 91. My intention is to condition it little by little, since it was stopped for a great season.
At the moment I am leaving it clean and, a few days ago, I have acquired a sinister 420 GTI rover to take advantage of all its parts: interior, wheels, ... and put them in the 414
Greetings

Hi, welcome to the club! Nice story, and lovely cars! Would I be able to post your pics on the official club social media feeds, eg Twitter and Instagram?

:welcome

Thank you for your introduction and photos - we're interested to see how this transformation works out.

Most body and trim parts are interchangeable but I'm guessing that the 414 doesn't have electric windows and that the 420 probably does, so you have the chance for an upgrade :clapping

Please show us how the work develops.
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos

Good night. Thank you very much for the answers.

First of all I hope to excuse my English, but I am using the Google translator, since I barely know it, but I guess we will understand each other.

Tell them that this car does have power windows at all four doors and as little extras. That is why I had no doubts in buying the rover 420 gti damaged for its good price (except for the headlights, rear fender and ECU, the rest has it all), because I will be putting parts of it in 414: seats, dashboard, carpet, door upholstery, rear wing, rings, sunroof ....

I have also acquired some front shock absorbers of a MG ZR and rear of MG ZS to lower it a bit high. I will be telling my progress.

By the way, I would like to become a member of the club, since in Spain at the moment it does not exist. Can the income of the 2020 fee be paid now or should I wait until January 1?

Greetings

Good night. I have already started making improvements to my Rover. Apart from changing all the liquids (oil, coolant, etc.), spark plugs, filters, ..., I have also decided to change the suspension, putting the dampers of a MG ZS behind and in front of a ZR (I made a see the section on "updates and modifications on damper reference for guidance.)
Next week I will change the discs and calipers of the front brake that are mazizos for ventilated ones of I have of the Rover 420 GTI that I have for parts ... and, I will put the rear stab bar of this one.

I will continue to report my progress.

Greetings
