Quick Release Battery Terminals

Post by Paul_1978_yorks »

I was thinking of getting some quick release battery terminals, as I’m likely to be taking my negative terminal on and off through the winter to save the battery when the car is out of use for periods.

I wondered if anyone had used them and had any thoughts.

I’ve got a flexible shaft nut spinner with a 10mm socket which i keep in my door pocket - works a treat and no rummaging in the tool box.😃

I fitted these to all our cars, I find them great, especially when the youngsters get a flat battery.

£5.19 a pair on eBay :D

If we're talking about a 1.4 K Series, so needs a 13mm ring spanner, I use a light weight german combo with a swan neck. I keep it handy and don't bury it away in a tool box! :D

Halfords do quick release terminals.

I have them on my coupe, much quicker than spanner’s!
