It starts instantly from cold but is lumpy in the low rev range but clears higher up until it warms then it gets worse and eventually stalls and can be hard to re start, with the odd 'cough', until it goes cold then starts instantly again.
On my older classics i would say ignition fault, coil or condenser, but this is where I am confused.
Research online tells me this car has a thing called an ignitor and or a coil. Could someone please tell me what and where this is, and does it have a coil too ? Do the symptoms indicate that these or this could be a problem and where else should i investigate ?
I appreciate any advice as id love to get the engine running smooth and sweet
