No bowing smillie, so...... thank you kind sir!

BTW, I changed to Imgur.com for third party hosting after Photobucket knocked it on the head for free accounts. It's free, does n't require a sign-up but better if you want to stay organised and as far as I'm aware unlimited on space. User-friendly also.

Hi Team, I'm new to this forum so let me introduce myself......I answer to Pat (short for Patrick) and I have two of the best cars on the road, a 216 cabriolet, British racing green, automatic and just over 50k miles on the clock. The other one is a pre-facelift 75.
OK, that takes care of the preliminaries.
Now to my problem......the motorised hood motor has a fluid reservoir which has developed a leak (a crack, in fact,) and I need another one. My local contact, a Rover specialist, has drawn a blank so has anyone any ideas where I can get another one. Over to you!

I recently replaced the roof hydraulic pump on my L-reg gold 216 cabriolet. I got a secondhand replacement from Bradford Autospares (01274 309144). They also sold me two front wings which I had resprayed and installed during the recent renovation of our cabby. I replaced the pump unit with the hood in the closded position. This means all the oil is in the struts, Install the pump with no oil in the reservoir. The oil is then pumped from the struts into the resevoir when the roof is opened up. This means you have no issues with airlocks in the hydraulic oil pipes. i hope this helps.

Good luck
Richard
