I've bought a set of Smokestone R3 mats to reduce the wear on the originals and they do lighten the interior - it's still '50 shades of grey' with either :laughing2

Original black

Tangle of wires is where the Moss car alarm connects, I have removed it for now
Goes off when I hook up the battery so can live without it for now, will put them into a plastic bag and tie them off to keep it dry :wink3 :sleep

Been outside again...

This time fitting the CD autochanger properly - the cable ties and sponge was only a temporary method to prove it worked on the move as well as stationary.

As I didn't have an original cradle, I've had to improvise and was able to cut up a couple of bits of bent tin to make 4 individual brackets

Image

I used existing holes in the passenger seat pan. The 2 at the front had the screws inserted from behind so I had to unclip the front edge of the seat covering. The 2 rear ones were lightly tapped to take the M6 fixings

Image

This is to mount the unit approximately horizontally and allow the CD cassette to eject under the front of the seat

And it all works :D

Nice work with the brackets! Didn't realise the changer could be mounted under the passenger seat-my BRM's is in the boot (as was my parents' VI from memory).
