Might be a daft question but is the passenger door meant to have a key hole in it as mine just seems to be blank?

I have tried the polarity already and swapped wires around...if it was more accessible I would try running the box from the front speaker wiring but would prefer it to work as it is...i'll try replacing the rear speaker wires and see what happens...thanks guys.

Thanks to John W...one of the relays has packed up and your diagnosis was spot on...all I have to do now is find another working one? Any offers?

It doesn't try to open at all...no sound from the motor at all but it does work if trying to close...I will check those other relays that I didn't know about and post the happenings...thanks guys...
