Re: 🏁 Pride of Longbridge 2026 – Who’s Going? 🏁
Hi all - plan to be there in my 1997 216 SE Cabriolet. Not been before and don’t know the area well, so not sure exactly how to get to the gate and stand. Any additional info is appreciated. This may help you: https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/directory_record/9099/cofton_park The two entrances used fo...

Re: NEC Resto Show 2026
As per previous post I can’t do Friday. Would love to but family commitments mean I can only do the Sunday. Looking forward to catching up although I’ll probably need a coffee shot on arrival to get me going as it’ll be an early start for me :D Adjusted accordingly :cool Further adjustments: Friday...

Re: NEC Resto Show 2026
Well, the 416 completed an 85 mile journey to Leicestershire from Cambridgeshire last night without serious incident. I think I will be adding a thermostat change to the jobs list, as the temperature gauge had a very low reading for much of the journey, especially when off load (downhill for example...

:welcome Without hesitation I would recommend Retro Sports Cars at Brighouse: https://www.retrosportscars.co.uk/ Both my 220 Turbo and my 25GTi have been there for major services and I have several friends who use them too. The owner Chris is an ex MG Rover dealership trained technician and he has b...

Do we have any volunteers to perform a timing belt change on our 416 GSi charity car? (Honda SOHC automatic + aircon)

Re: Reduce Vehicle Excise Duty by 50%
Well, I signed it last week and received the following 'reply' today: The Government has responded to the petition you signed – “Reduce Vehicle Excise Duty by 50% for vehicles aged 20 to 39 years”. Government responded: The Government has no plans to reduce Vehicle Excise Duty liabilities for vehicl...

Re: Streetwise Wheels
I am quite sure they were never fitted on any other car: I believe they are 15 inches diameter. The likely origin of these wheels is the steel spare wheel supplied with the R8 range from late 1994 instead of a fifth alloy. The centre cap is probably unique to the Streetwise! All R3 cars used either ...

Re: Track Rod End - Split Pin or Nylon Lock Nut
As a great fan of 'originality', I experienced the same disappointment a couple of years ago when I ordered new track rod ends for my 220 :wink3 Having said that, none of my other cars have left the factory with castellated nuts and split pins in their suspension components (from classic Mini, Austi...

Re: what seats fit a Rover 25 2001 3dr
What is the exact problem with your existing seat?
Is the backrest partially detached from the base?
Will it not lock in the upright position?
Does anything appear to be obviously bent or broken?
