Re: Ticking noise on open throttle up to 3000 revs
If it’s a T-Series, it’s likely to be from the exhaust manifold - I remember my 620ti having an appetite for the manifold to head gaskets. I second that! Both my 420 GSi Turbo (1997-2004) and my current 220 GSi Turbo had the manifold gasket blow in exactly the same place: at the timing belt end of ...

Re: The Age Old Immobiliser Topic - 2003 Rover 45 2.0 L Series
I am not as familiar with the electrical layout of the HH/R as I am with the R8 and R3, but your description makes me wonder if one of the earth wires between the battery and body is adrift. The L-series in the R3 does not have an electric fuel pump: the belt-driven injector pump sucks up its own fu...

Re: Timing Covers Part Number confusion!
I don't know if you are already aware of the website I have linked to here: https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/CONCERTO but it can be quite useful when researching original Honda part numbers for our cars (even though many of the parts are NLA!)

Re: Starting Problem
You can prove the starter by bridging from the large terminal (battery connection) on the solenoid to the small spade terminal with a piece of wire or a screwdriver blade. If this doesn't work, you have a faulty starter motor. While you are there, check for corrosion on the spade terminal and its co...

Underneath the air filter box.
So easily accessible from the top of the engine bay with no need for going under the car to remove or service it.

Re: Hello from Cornwall

Great to hear you have a 25 Commerce: there aren't many of those around! It would be great if you could share some pictures with us.
My 220 originated from Cornwall: it was a demonstrator at R.C.Harding in Penzance.

Re: Replacement OSR Door 2005 Rover 25
Any 25, ZR or probably Streetwise door should do the job. Avoid doors from the earlier 200, as there are a number of differences on the inner skin, which will result in you having to drill holes and make other adaptations to fit the door card and handles etc. (I found this out many years ago when fi...

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2025
I can offer a 25 GTi (you have two to choose from: one red, one gold)
Both need a headlining replacement and some cosmetic repairs around the wheelarches (no welding or grinding
). The red one also needs a couple of replacement ABS rings and a front bumper change.
