Re: Why front fogs so rare?
You're making a very good point, Sir Henry. The yellow tinting paint has always had a reputation for scratching easily. In my opinion, it's not very effective. It's also very difficult to get an even colour coat across the lenses. The paint was sold for drivers crossing into Europe - France, mainly ...

Re: Why front fogs so rare?
Yellow supplementary lighting such as foglights remain legal, as long as they're already fitted to the vehicle before the rules were introduced. On a vehicle manufactured in the 1990's, you won't have an issue. The regulations apply to new vehicles, where the EU has now stated that forward facing li...

Re: Honda V Rover mechanics-comparison?
The first 200 I drove; was a 1994 220GSi. I hired it to spend some time with family. So the day I picked it up, I took the trip to Wales on the A40. If you're a biker, you'll know how sexy that road is. It was torquey, very smooth and I was impressed with the acceleration. Nice gentle burble, too. C...

Yep...enjoyed the event....the meet....and that sun....! Enjoyed having a chance to sit and meet with you this afternoon. That was excellent. Great slideshow, Dan...it really does show the day as it was. Probably the only chance to meet, this year. Isle Of Man TT and a tour of Scotland on the ZZR wi...

You won't be alone with your dents, scratches & dirt John...! I have half a cabriolet on my drive at the mo. Haven't been able to wash the car for 6 months. I jetwashed it last night, to at least make an effort. The dirt was so deep...it's still there...in the scratches and dents! The GTi has co...

Check the clips on the base of the window, securing it to the regulator.

Re: Honda engine identification
yep this is somehow curios stuff... but a think that the K series engine is better then the honda stuff.... If you're looking for typically British behaviour....I guess so. It's certainly more economical, cheaper to service and definitely easier to find parts for. But....if you're want to satisfy t...

Re: Honda engine identification
The D16Z2 was the world Honda ref, also used by JDM I think. Honda / Rover called it D16a6 in the UK & Europe. Richard's given you guidance where to find the stamp on the engine. You might need to brush off the surface to see the digits clearly. Cleaner task checking the V5...! Pushes about 105b...
