You should bear in mind that the R65 gearbox was an old Peugeot design that Rover adopted and then manufactured. Eventually it went on to be used in the first generation of BMW Mini.
The IB5 is straight out of the Ford parts bin, so it is quite unlikely that the R65 bushes would be compatible.
Does the local garage have a relationship with a local machine shop that could source and fit some appropriate bushes? Or is this asking too much in the 21st century?
(back in the 1990s my family's Rover dealership used to outsource jobs like this, for example reboring and sleeving Metro radius arms)

So, probably my best bet is through Ford, which seems to be more difficult than it should be. I will call Rimmers on the off chance as they did seem to list at least one of the bushes. I suppose I am in a better situation as the actual clutch release fork is fine.

It could be worth contacting a Ford dealer, but give them the registration number of a petrol Fiesta/Fusion/Focus of similar age to your car. (Hopefully they won't ask for a VIN). If you tell them you have a Rover, there's a risk they will lose interest very quickly. That's based on the experience of some of our members who have tried Honda dealers for parts for Rovers using Honda running gear......

Hitting one brick wall after another.

But not enough for them to ship.
Seems Ford are my last hope. The Rover has been off the road for a month now for two small bushes. Does anyone have any other ideas?

The lower one has appeared on Rimmers so have gone for it. Found one on ebay too so have hedged my bets.

So have the first part UNL000010 but have hit a complete impasse with UNL1000020. Anyone know where that might be sourced? Been without the Rover for over a month now.

Finally sorted and back on the road.
They ended up adapting the bush for the earlier gearbox to work as that second one is just not available. No joy with Ford although I assume someone must know that corresponding part number.
Had an extra aspect as the starter motor failed, but sourcing a replacement was mush easier as found one with a five year warranty on ebay. Again nothing for my later model with Rimmers or any of the usual sources.
The gearchange certainly feels better than it ever has been so I suspect the bushes were on their way out for a while.
