It's always the rear inboard fixings that won't come out, as unlike the others these poke outside, not into closed box sections. This causes them to corrode and you can't get that thru the threaded insert....
Best coat the 'new' ends as well as you can when you fit the seats in your car.

Aside: The Silverstone seat material is one of the best one's fitted to a Rover Group product in the opinion of a very experienced trim Materials Engineer who was there then and is still at JLR now

Ah - let's hope I can get the two rear inner bolts out on mine then! The last thing I want to be doing is cutting them off.
I fitted the rear seats today - very pleased.

If you can get any 'rust dissolving' stuff on the threads a while before you want to remove them that'd probably help.
As would winding in them back in a bit every turn, as you're effectively cutting the thread anew. That way you reduce the build up of debris and give yourself the best chance.
Oh, an making sure you've got the correct bit in your socket. Get one of the front ones out first and examine the female shape in the head closely.

The car has just passed its MOT without any problems. Just needed tyres.
Mileage now just over 80,000. It had 63k on when I bought it, and I've done 17,000 miles in 19 months of ownership, and it's been a trouble free everyday car.
I have been thinking of changing it next year for a different type of Rover to use as an everyday car, but we'll see.
