Rover often messed up. I had a genuine 420 GSI sport turbo that was registered as a GSI only (non turbo), but some digging by a dealer confirmed it to be a real sport turbo (the engine it was sold with was a turbo lump).

Its interesting how many are now trying to change their cars to the earlier grilless look. Done properly on a high model without a badge it does look good! Colour coding the grill and meshing it looks good to.

Im currently attempting to fix it myself. Ive rubbed down the scratches and filled them with paint. Will repeat a few times then put on a few coats of top coat. Will then buff with Scratch-X like mad to bring back the shine. It looks promising, but will take a while. Will provide pics if possible. I...

If you want the best finish give it a colour cut first with a T cut like product, then clay it. Clay bars give a stunning finish, they really do. After that wax it with something like Meguiars Techwax, which contains fillers to reduce swirl marks. If you do clay it you MUST wax it afterwards though ...
