Hello,

I have a 25 1.8 vvc Gti which has developed a screeching noise when warmed up. The noise comes from the inlet manifold area and is constant. To pin point the noise I would say around/ next to the vvc hydraulic unit.

Has anyone experienced this kind of problem ?

Could any tell me what black finish was applied to the sills on the Rover 25 at the factory. I think it would have been either matt or a satin finish?

I've managed to get my hands on some press photos and zoom in on the tyres as suggested. The car is a gold 25 gti with a press reg of 688 TFX.
