Studley castle Photo Shoot last year

John when is all the publicity from the above The MG Car Club Zed Register event due to land, or have I missed something?

The organisers did send me a shot of my car, but I've heard nothing since? Thought that the anniversary launch publicity was going out at the recent NEC Show?

Re: H Plate 5dr gti - Honda Dohc engine - pre cat

My H plate GTi Reg Oct 1990 with Honda DOHC does not have an O2 sensor in the original exhaust manifold.
Maybe a late H plate did?..

Restoring a Rover 200

I posted this about five years ago, it's an e-book of my own restoration on a 216 GTi. Lots of new members here so thought it might be useful to re-post it again. May prove useful to those just starting out on a similar project. Cheers John Anfield https://rover-216-gti-web-site.myfreesites.net/e-bo...

Re: Rear disc guide pins

Yes they all have an internal flat side on mine, probably for grease and to allow air to escape too, otherwise it might be harder for them to move in/out.

Re: Temp Gauge Level

My 216 GTI (Honda DOHC) temp gauge always sits low, just under 1/2 way.
Been fine that way for 33 years, had a new thermostat in 2013, just as part of a refresh, same temp after.

Re: Rover gathering at The Great British Car Journey (Derbyshire) 14th May 2023

Just booked my ticket online for the Rover Meeting.
If over 65 then it is only £8.75 after Club Discount.
The Rover RVRDAY code is needed on the main ticket page, there is a local Car Club page that has not got a meeting on 14th - So don't use that link.

Re: Exhaust Manifold - Which things will kill our cars? Common faults?

I have a cracked D16 Twin Cam DOHC (1990) exhaust manifold that I think a skilled welder could repair (it's cast iron I think) Please let me know if anyone wants it, you can see the crack at the junction of the two pipes. For my car, I got a new one from Rimmers in 2003, it might have been the last ...

Count me in, I have been meaning to go there since it opened, as I am in Notts, very handy for me.
