K Series Cams
Hi All Doing an Engine swap & the replacement engine is older than the blown one. It's a 2001 Rover 45 1.6, the replacement is from a 1998 Rover 216, obviously the replacement isn't the Wasted Spark K Series so doesn't have the CPS Lobe. Question is can I just change the one Cam from the blown e...

Re: coolant blowing out of the header tank cap
Father in Laws 214 Cabbie did this a few years ago, luckily it was only the rubber seal on the expansion tank cap. Replaced the seal & it hasn't done it since

Re: VVC into 1.6 Cabriolet
I had a more detailed examination of the wires today and the smaller connector plugs all appear the same. The large Blue one that I'm assuming is MGF Engine to Body loom connector is a different shape from the R8 Grey one. I have Auto Electric knowledge & suppose the Blue connector wires could b...

Re: Cabriolet hood

Re: Cabriolet hood
I did mine myself, it was relatively easy & took me about 6 hours. Which ain't bad having never done one before. Mind you I am a Bodywork Technician by trade so have an unfair advantage :laughing2 Luckily who ever replaced the roof previously had the forethought to use Stainless fixings, so I di...

Re: VVC into 1.6 Cabriolet
You may come into a little difficulty in using the MGF engine loom. Im not 100% but I think it might be a little different in terms of location of connectors to where they need to be. You might be better of sourcing one from a VVC Coupe, 200 BRM or 200VI (all of which are quie rare cars now.....) A...
